Delpha J. Campbell

Delpha J. Campbell, 79, of Coal Valley, IL, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Swedona Lutheran Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Swedona Lutheran Church.

Delpha was born on December 2, 1946, in the Moline Public Hospital, the daughter of Ivan and Vernice Anderson. She married Wendell Peterson on August 28, 1966, and they later separated. She then married Edward L. Campbell on August 2, 1994, in Las Vegas, NV; he preceded her in death on July 29, 2017. In her younger years, she worked as a bookkeeper at Bank Orion. Delpha was a member of the Swedona Lutheran Church and was a member of the Budget Committee. She also took part in the choir, she was a pianist, a Sunday School Teacher, a Women’s Hope Circle member, a member of Rags to Riches Quilting Group, Just Friends Group, and in ACS Relay for Life Team.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Perkins of Gilbert, AZ and Doug (Lindsey) Peterson of Davenport, IA; 4 grandchildren, Tevin (Aundrea) Robbins of North Liberty, Aaliyah Perkins of Gilbert, AZ, Raine and Mavrik Peterson of Davenport, IA; great-grandchildren, Maya Robbins-Sanchez, Remi Robbins, and Lenox Robbins; step children, Bryan (Kim) Campbell of Coal Valley, IL and Kelly Campbell of Orion, IL; step-grandchildren, Mia, Cameron, and Parker Campbell of Coal Valley, IL, and Cassidy (Keaton) Darin of Moline, IL; sister-in-law, Mary Anderson of Preemption, IL; companion, Richard Ash of Coal Valley, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lamont and Darryl Anderson; husband, Edward Campbell.
