Diana Lynn Meincke, 73, of Moline, passed away on December 14, 2023, at Illini Restorative Care in Silvis.

 

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Association.

 

Diana was born on May 18, 1950, in Moline, the daughter of Howard and Elizabeth DeRaedt Meincke.  She graduated from United Township High School and was an Illinois State Scholar. Diana later earned her Master of Science degree from Western Illinois University. Diana was employed at Scott Community College as an educator and at the Illinois State Hospital in the adolescent unit.  She was also the Director of the Moline Chapter of the Epilepsy Association.

 

Diana enjoyed quilting and had a great love for animals, especially her dog, Blue Berry Pie.

 

Survivors include her sisters, Linda White, Margaret (James) Szymborski, Jo Ann Meincke, and Mary Meincke; aunt, Stella Kupresin; many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and great nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Brenda DuBois; brothers-in-law, James DuBois and Dale White.
