Diane M. Dowsett, 82, of East Moline, IL, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Genesis Medical Center - Silvis Campus, Silvis, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 17, 2014, at First United Presbyterian Church, 801 16th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
Diane was born on October 7, 1932, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Marion Barnes Schmidt. She married Joseph Dowsett on December 26, 1953, in Moline.
Diane was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Moline. She was lovingly called, "The Cookie Lady" as she was well known for her wonderful baking. She also enjoyed antiquing.
