Diane Lois Schafer, age 70, of Rock Island, died Sunday, January 27, 2013, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
Diane was born February 9, 1942, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James and Lois (Bangston) McGuire. She married Otis Dee Schafer on June 11, 1960, in Rock Island, IL. He preceded her in death on July 2, 1997.
Diane worked as a seamstress for Rock Island Bedding Group. She enjoyed playing Bingo, watching Days of Our Lives, and listening to country music. Above all she loved spending time with her family.
