Diane Woods

Diane Woods, 74, of Davenport, IA, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at her home.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport. Visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at the church.  Burial of cremains will be at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory Ltd, Moline is assisting the family.

Diane was born on August 8, 1947, in Moline, the daughter of Melville “Lefty” and Eva Sue (White) Smith. She married Dennis E. Woods on October 30, 1966, in Moline, resulting in 55 years of marriage. Diane was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport. She raised Great Danes and Chinese Shar-pei. Diane enjoyed traveling to Cancun, quilting, and reading.

Survivors include her husband, Dennis; children, Todd (Mindy) Woods, Kortney and her extended family, and Jeff (Teresa) Woods; and a very close blended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bob.
