Dolores A. Mikita, 76, of East Moline, formerly of Moline, IL, died Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014, at Colona United Methodist Church, 1709 Cleveland Road, Colona. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Dayton Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Colona United Methodist Church.
Dolores was born on June 16, 1938, in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of Donald and Garnet Beckman Ritchie.
She married Andrew Mikita in 1960 in Howland, OH, and he preceded her in death in 2000. She worked as the secretary to the principal of Colona Grade School, retiring in 2000.
Dolores was a member of Colona UMC, Senior Choir, United Women's Society, and the Red Hat Society of Colona. She was also a member of the Colona School Board and the past president of the Colona PTA. Dolores enjoyed sports, especially volleyball, basketball, football, and baseball. She loved music, and more than anything, loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Ritchie.
