Domenico Runco

Domenico Runco, 92, of Moline, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Celebrate of Moline.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Moline Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Domenico was born on April 8, 1933, in Belmonte Calabro, Italy, the son of Giuseppe and Rosa Runco. He married Barbara Brusco on April 4, 1954, in Santa Barbara, Italy. He served in the Italian Armed Forces. Domenico was a member of the Catholic Church in Belmonte Italy. He moved to America in 1972 and lived in New Jersey then in Florida before becoming a U.S. citizen in 1984. He had worked at South Seas Island Resort, retiring after 16 years.

Survivors include his sons, Giuseppe (Maria) Runco and Franco (Alesha) Runco; daughters, Rosa (Donald) Sonzogni and Marisa Runco; 7 grandchildren, Christina, Stefano, Jamie, Nick, Brittany, Joe, and Domenic; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Runco.
