Donald E. Buck was born on October 11, 1942, in Champaign, Illinois, to Donald and Margaret Buck. He passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022, in Scottsdale, Arizona. He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Beverly Bonynge Buck.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; his mother, Margaret; his brother, Charles Grigalauski; his stepfather, Joe Grigalauski. Surviving Don are his sister, Kathy (Dan) Waldron, niece, Sarah (Andrew) Kimball; nephew, Scott Waldron; sister-in-law, Debra Grigalauski; niece, Jenna Grigalsuski; nephew, Patrick Grigalauski; grandnephew, Drew Kimball.
Don was raised in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and earned a master’s degree from Northern Illinois University. He taught upper elementary grades for thirty-five years in School District #300, Carpentersville, Illinois.
Don and Beverly were married on Christmas Eve in 1976. They made their home in the Dundee, Illinois area during their teaching years. They loved to travel, visiting many countries, especially on cruises. After retiring, Don and Beverly relocated to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he loved the warm weather, reading and watching his favorite team, the Chicago Cubs.
Following cremation, private burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, at a later date.
