Donald L Abney

Donald L. Abney, 79, of Bettendorf, IA, passed away Thursday, February 03, 2022, at Bettendorf Health Care Center.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.

Donald was born on July 12, 1942, in Moline, the son of Gilbert L. and Mary Marthalee (Sheehan) Abney. He enjoyed his work as a carpenter and millwright. He was a member of the Millwrights & Technical Engineers Local 2158 for over 50 years.

Survivors include his children, Dirk Abney, Dwayne Abney, Darren Abney, and Dale Abney; sister, Lois Jones; brother, Darrell Abney; several grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Danny: and siblings, Loren Abney, Lyle Abney, and Velma DeVoss.
