Donald D. Wilson, age 77, of Moline, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Homewood Evangelical Free Church.
Donald was born February, 27, 1931 in McCook, NE, the son of Ernest and Trula (Summers) Wilson. He married Joann Telkemeyer on May 27, 1962 in Osco at the former Osco Community Church.
Don previously worked at the Rock Island Lines as a telegraph operator, then later as a depo agent. He then went on to work as a machine operator at J I Case.
He was a member at Faith Evangelical Free Church, Moline, where he and his wife were active. He was currently attending Homewood Evangelical Free Church, Moline. He loved reading his bible and attending Homewood Bible Studies and also reading different history books. He enjoyed listening to music and watching hummingbirds and sparrows. He loved helping people, but above all he loved spending time with his family.
