Donald Eugene "Don" Wilson, 85, of Port Byron, IL, died on October 25, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline, IL, with a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be a private graveside service at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to QC Paws or Quad-City Animal Welfare Center.
Don was born on February 19, 1929, in Moline, IL, the son of George Dean and Josephine Eva Wongstrom Wilson. He married Kathleen M. Taylor on January 17, 1953, in London, England.
Don owned and operated Don Wilson Construction Company. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and was a Mason. He was a Korean War Veteran (USAF). Don enjoyed boating, carpentry, stained glass, and playing cards with his family.
