Doris Haber

Doris T. Haber, 98, of Silvis, died October 15, 2022, at Lutheran Living Senior Campus in Muscatine, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church 4107 21st Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church or your favorite charity.

Doris was born on March 9, 1924, in Charlotte County, Virginia, the daughter of James Thomas and Verlie (Allen) Townsend. She married Frank F. Haber on October 27, 1944, in Danville, Virginia. He preceded her in death on February 13, 1995. Doris was a loving and devoted homemaker.

Doris was an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 65 years, attending Bible classes and helping with various volunteer projects.

Survivors include her daughters, Pamela (Robert) Bray, Blairsville, Georgia, and Jan (David) Sawvell, Nichols, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers, Charles Leon Townsend and James Thomas Townsend.
