Doris “Skipper” A. Snow, 84, of Rock Island, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehab, Rock Island.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Per the family’s wishes, there are no services to be held. Inurnment will be at Forest Home Cemetery in Crivitz, WI. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to Master Gardener Program or the Quad City Botanical Center, Rock Island.

Skipper was born on June 20, 1941, in Pound, WI, the daughter of Arnold and Florence (DeKeyser) Semrau. She married Roy Seefeldt on April 16, 1961, in Crivitz, WI; Skipper then married Ron Snow in Edgington, IL in 1984. She worked as a salesperson for Avon, then for Fidelity and Henry County Courthouse Deputy Clerk, a bookkeeper for the Rock Island Circuit Clerk, and a bookkeeper for Servus Rubber where she was later a mill room supervisor before retiring in 1985.

Skipper was a volunteer at Cambridge grade school as an assistant teacher. She liked birds and enjoyed photography, sewing, cooking, and gardening. Skipper was recognized as a master gardener in the state of Illinois.

Survivors include her children, Dawn (Eric Shank) Seefeldt of Des Moines, IA and Roy Charles Seefeldt Jr of Rock Island, IL; grandchildren, Tiffiny, John, Jacob (Kenlee), Tonja, Daniel, and Chad (April); 16 great-grandchildren, Aden, Javion, Jermiah, Lucky, Jamison, Kalessi, Kaelyn, Sadie, Morgan, Cheyenne, Joshua and more; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Semrau, Gene Samrau, Butch Ermis, and David Semaru.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jon Seefeldt; sisters, Shirley Merisonne, Marian Parczick, Dorothy Hurning, and Rosemary Ermis; brother, Myron Semrau.
