Dorothea Cecelia Nelson, 90, of East Moline, went to be with the Lord, September 16, 2008 at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Geneseo.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday September 22, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave. Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline.
Dorothea was born September 30, 1917 in Moline to Axel and Nellie (Safe) Udehn. She married Richard Nelson on August 30, 1936 in Moline. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Dorothea was employed at the former Moline Public Hospital in the dietary department. She attended Christ United Methodist Church where she enjoyed her work with the Good Sheep Sunday School class. She also attended New Hope Church. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
