Dorothy Ann Gift

Dorothy Ann Gift, 82, formerly of Coal Valley, passed away Thursday August 1, 2024, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Private burial will be held at the Beulah Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Beulah Presbyterian Church, Orion.

Dorothy was born on January 20, 1942, in Moline to Conrad and Marion Wilson. She graduated from Orion High School in 1960 and Iowa State University in 1961. She worked at Iowa State University as an LPN and then Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston until 1978. She then ran a private daycare until 1996. Dorothy married Earl Gift in 1976, and he preceded her in death in September of 2012.

Surviving include step children, Eric (Lori) Gift, Lisa (Andy) Jenkins; 3 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild, many nieces and nephews; aunt, Barbara Anderson and Dan Churchill, who Dorothy thought of as a brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, William Wilson and sister, Judith Dalmasso.
