Ed Wahlberg

Edward G. Wahlberg, 78, of Sherrard, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Aledo Nursing and Rehab in Aledo, IL.

Graveside services will be Noon, Monday, December 7, 2020, at Swedona Lutheran Cemetery.  A recording of the service will be found on Ed’s obituary page at www.esterdahl.com, at a later date.  A luncheon will be held for family and friends at a later date when it is safe.  Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.  Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family.

Ed was born on August 12, 1942, in Rock Island, the son of Dale and Marinda (Swanson) Wahlberg.  He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves and farmed on the family farm his whole life.

Survivors include his sister, Vada (Charles) Thomas, Florida; brother, Willard Wahlberg, Glen Ellyn, Illinois; niece and nephews, Keith Thomas, Kathleen (Bob) Brennan, and Bryan (Deb) Wahlberg; many great nieces and great nephews; one great, great nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Norman.
