Effie Iona Burkholder

Effie I Burkholder, 93, of East Moline, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at her home.

Graveside services will be held at 11am Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, 4601 W War Memorial Dr, Peoria, IL 61615. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, Moline is assisting the family.

Effie was born on March 9, 1929, in Girard, IL, the daughter of Roy E. and Lottie I (Hughes) Lutz. She married Keith M. Burkholder on June 23, 1997, in Las Vegas, NV. Effie retired from St. Joseph Retirement Home in West Peoria after 33 years of dedicated service.

Survivors include her husband; stepdaughters, Debra Hoeft and Ginger Long; and several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, and two sisters.
