Eloise Vallejo

Eloise Vallejo, 62, of Silvis, died Monday, August 13, 2012 at Loyola Hospital, Maywood, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 800 17th Street, Silvis. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. VFW Ladies Auxiliary Service will be held at 6:45 p.m. and a Rosary will follow at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
Eloise was born on January 29, 1950 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Manuel and Jennie (Montez) Ortiz. She married Raymond M. Vallejo on March 1, 1969 in Missouri. Eloise worked as a manager at Kay Jewelers in Moline and later as a Club House Attendant for Country View Golf Course in Geneseo, IL. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and a life member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary #8890 of East Moline. Eloise was an avid bowler and an exceptional cook. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and was very giving to her entire family. Eloise was a very good-humored woman and had appeared at the Davenport Funny Bone several times.
