Eva Jean Irene Barlett, 86, of East Moline, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Rosewood Care Center of Moline, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
Eva Jean was born on March 28, 1928, in Hebron, MO, the daughter of Robert L. and Luticia E. Smith Hicks. She married James L. Barlett on March 24, 1948, and he preceded her in death on July 14, 1973.
Eva Jean loved her family gatherings and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, fishing and listening to music. Her beautiful blue eyes and her loving smile will be missed forever.
She was a loving mother and is survived by Wilma J (Henry) Boggs Gann, Pattie J (Carl) Williams, Lynda C
(David) Requet, Debra K. Olson, and James L (Lori) Barlett.
