Evelyn L. Owens, 95, of East Moline, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
A private graveside service will be held at Moline Memorial Park. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.
Evelyn was born on February 24, 1925, in Moline, the daughter of Chris and Juanita (Pierce) Sonksen. She married Dennis W. Owens on December 19, 1942, in Moline. He preceded her in death April 3, 2002. She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, and Sheet Metal Local 91 retirees.
Survivors include her children, Vyrel (Kevin) Owens-Carr, Linda (Chris) Hawker, Chris Owens; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Harry, Dennis, Bernice; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Gerald Dennis Owens; siblings, Arline and Jake.
