F. David Bush

Francis D. “David” Bush, 73, of Hampton, passed away on October 1, 2026, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island.

The memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded and private inurnment will be at Zuma Township Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.

David was born on September 8, 1953, in Rock Island, the son of Francis and Audrey (Ashdown) Bush. He married Margo Ruge on June 29, 1974, at the United Methodist Church in Rock Island. He began working at IH Farmall and later in retail electronic sales. He later worked as the Pharmacy Delivery Manager for CVS. David was a hard worker, had a great work ethic, and always had multiple jobs. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he cherished the early morning drives to football with his grandson, Alex.

Survivors include, Margo; sons, David (Michelle) Bush and Bryan Bush; grandchildren, Carter, Alex, Sydney; brother, Donald (Diane) Bush; and sister, Melinda (Bush) Mourning.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A dedicated and hardworking father, David instilled lasting values in his sons. They are thankful for his example and will honor his legacy by passing those same principles onto his grandchildren.
