Fay L Thompson

Fay L. Thompson, 92, formerly of Thompson Addition, Colona, IL, died Friday, October 17, 2014, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, 6601-38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to funeral time on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Fay was born on February 18, 1922, the daughter of Rudolph "Duke" and Matilda Cutler Kuehl. Following graduation from high school, she worked at the telephone company and at Woolworth during Christmas time. She married Earl E. Thompson in Rock Island on October 24, 1942. He preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Rock Island High School. She loved to play Bingo and enjoyed the Chicago Cubs. She also enjoyed Pepsi in the bottle.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Thompson; brother, Fred Kuehl; Sister, Amy Yeater; and sister, Vivian Kehoe.
