Felicity Ann Luthanen

Felicity Luthanen passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025. 

Visitation will be from 2 to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday May 1, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Moline, IL. Interment will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made in remembrance of Felicity to the Celebrate of Moline Activities Fund or The Arc of the Quad Cities Area.

Felicity was born on Christmas Day,1964 in Woodruff, WI, the daughter of Richard and Illene (Heyman) Luthanen. Felicity lived in New Lenox, IL from 1968-1987, and completed attending the special education program at Homewood-Flossmoor High School in June,1986. She resided at Chamness Square in Bourbonnais, IL from 1987 – 2009 and Smith Square in Moline, IL from 2009 – 2020. She moved to Celebrate of Moline in 2020.

Felicity brought joy and laughter to everyone around her, while also teaching love and patience. She was a huge fan of riding the Channel Cat Water Taxi on the Mississippi River and also enjoyed going out for lunch with family and friends, traveling/vacation, cardigan sweaters…and shopping, Christmas (and Christmas cookies!), coffee-flavored drinks, watching movies, music…especially Elvis, and a good party.

Felicity will be greatly missed by her family and friends and is survived by her parents, Richard and Illene Luthanen; sister, Kristina O’Brien; and many cousins.
