Floyd B. Spillum, 92, of Moline, IL, died Friday, May 24, 2013, at his home.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal where military honors will be performed by Moline American Legion Post # 246. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or the Animal Aid Humane Society.

Floyd was born on October 18, 1920, in Rollag, MN, the son of Ole and Julia (Solum) Spillum. He married Lorraine E. Frye on October 1, 1950, at First Lutheran Church in Galesburg, IL. Floyd served in the United States Navy for 4 years during WWII and later graduated from the University of Minnesota. For 32 years, he worked as a cost accountant for Deere & Co., retiring in 1982. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Civilian Conservation Corp., and Moline Vikings. Floyd enjoyed gardening and playing cribbage.

He was preceded in death by his 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
