Freda May Sandberg, 101, of Moline, died March 4, 2009 at Aspen Rehab and Heath Care, Silvis.
Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00 a.m., March 12, 2009 with a visitation two hours prior at First Covenant Church, Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Covenant Church, Christian Friendliness, or Arrowhead Ranch.
Freda was born August 26, 1907 in Sherrard, IL to Franklin Harrison and Minnie May (Wilson) Cox. She married David Milton Sandberg on February 6, 1929 in Moline. He preceded her in death on January 30, 1964.
Freda was a member of First Covenant Church where she was involved in missionary work, planning, cooking, serving dinners, and the weekly church cleaning crew. She also was active with Christian Friendliness. She liked baking cookies and Swedish rye bread. She enjoyed being there for her family especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Milton "Gee" David Sandberg, son-in-law Edward Mudgett and granddaughter-in-law Wendy Blackburn.
