Gary L. Johnson, 68, of Moline, died Thursday, September 06, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Moline Viking Scholarship Fund.
Gary was born on June 13, 1944 in Moline, IL, the son of Carl A. and Ethel M. (Bergstrom) Johnson. He married Linda Mills on June 30, 1973 at the Broadway Presbyterian Church, Rock Island. Gary worked as a custodian at the former John Deere Harvester Works for 30 years, retiring in May of 1997. He was a member of the Moline Vikings. Gary very much enjoyed being at home and watching Westerns with his dog, Pee Wee.
