Gary Lee Sitler

Gary Sitler, 67, of Hoffman Estates, IL, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Cedarhurst of Washington.

A public memorial visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Private graveside services will be held prior to the visitation.  Burial will be at the Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center 724 2nd Ave W, Milan,IL or Vistas Hospice

Gary graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor of science in computer science.  He retired from A.T. & T. in 2010.  Gary was a member of the Cardinal Drive Church of Christ in Rolling Meadows, Illinois, where a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  In his early years Gary sang in the Moline Boys Choir and sang in numerous other groups through the years he also enjoyed playing the piano.  He enjoyed making jewelry and had a great interest in gemology.

Gary was born on January 29, 1955, in Moline, the son of Kenneth D. and Donna F. (Swales) Sitler.

Survivors include brothers, John (Karen) Sitler of Washington, Illinois and Ed (Sharon) Sitler of Knoxville, Tennessee; nephews, Shawn (Nancy) Sitler, Mathew (Kaitlin) Sitler and Gavin Miller; great nieces and nephews, Trisia, Alex, Malachi, Ezra and Shiloh.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
