G. Elaine Rigg

G. Elaine Rigg, 99, of Silvis, passed away Friday, July16, 2021, at Illini Restorative Care.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Elaine was born on November 27, 1921, in Moline, the daughter of Gustave and Gertrude (Gale) Meyers.  She married Duane R. Rigg on February 26, 1949, in Moline.  He preceded her in death on October 13, 2013.  Elaine previously worked as a secretary for Deere & Company and later as a crossing guard for the City of Moline.  She also worked at the LeClaire Hotel at the cigar counter.  Elaine was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.  She enjoyed spending her time working on word search and jigsaw puzzles.  She also enjoyed watching golf, and she liked to collect garden gnomes.

Survivors include her sons, Desi (Lynne) Rigg, Taylor Ridge, and Du Ethan (Tearesa) Rigg, Moline; grandchildren, Christopher Rigg, Scott Rigg, and Ian (Amber) Rigg; great grandchildren, Hunter, Xaden and Sevrus.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, Trent R. Rigg and Terry B. Rigg; a brother; and a sister.
