Gerald Nicholson, 58, of Rock Island, IL, died Thursday, July 23, 2015, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gerald was born on March 3, 1957, in Moline, IL, the son of Donavon and Caroline Johnson Nicholson. He married Monika Harper on March 20, 1981, in Rock Island. He proudly served in the United States Army for 20 years, retiring in 1995. Gerald enjoyed playing cards and watching football.
Survivors include his loving wife, Monika; mother, Caroline Nicholson; sister, Joan (Stephen) Baril; nephew, Peter Baril; niece, Mary Beth Baril.
He was preceded in death by his father.
