Gerry R. Weimer

Gerry R. Weimer, 92, of Geneseo, IL, passed away, December 18, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family that loved her.

A Memorial Talk will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Geneseo. (The memorial talk can be viewed via Zoom [Access Code: 263-029-5598 & Passcode: 1234]). Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Kingdom Hall. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Geneseo or to Henry County Humane Society.

Gerry was born on April 16, 1933, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Ernest and Pearl (Arends) Parpart. She married James Weimer in Geneseo on July 17, 1951, and celebrated their 74th anniversary the day before Jim’s death on July 18, 2025. Gerry died 5 months later, on the same date and time in the morning, she missed the love of her life. They did everything together, including worshiping their God Jehovah. As Jehovah Witnesses, they enjoyed sharing and helping people learn from the bible, and instilled love in their children. They loved camping, traveling, gardening, and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Gerry was very proud of her flowers and variety of hostas. Her passion was reading and cooking, and being hospitable, she thrived on company because she loved to talk to people.

Survivors include her children, Katherine (James) Charlet, Todd (Twila) Weimer, Jay (Linda) Weimer, April (Bill) Williams, Moneta (Joseph) Willemkens, and Jill (Glenn) Carpenter; 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter and 1 great-great-grandson on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; daughter, Heidi Henson and infant daughter, Regina; grandchildren, Jake Carpenter and Molly Charlet; brothers, Howard and Warren Parpart.
