Gilbert L. Moore, 50, of East St. Louis, IL, died Sunday, May 15, 2016, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2016, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2601 15th Street, Moline.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following the services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Gilbert was born on August 6, 1965, in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Tom Freeman and Ora Lee Moore.  He spent his lifetime as an entertainer.

Gilbert was a member of Church of Christ in East St. Louis.  He loved to rap, DJ, and listen to music.   He especially enjoyed being a promotion host.  Above all, Gilbert loved to laugh and make people smile.

Survivors include his daughters, Tiara, Tramara, Kiarra, Damazia, Jalisa; sons, Jo and Travon; a host of grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; sisters, Johnie M. Johnson, Moline, IL, Barbara J. (Darrell) Griggs, East St. Louis, IL, and Terri E. (Michael) Nelson, Kansas City, MO; brother, Glen (Nichole) Yarbrough, Benton Harbor, MI; sister-in-law, Annie Reed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Eddie Moore and Robert Jackson.
