Gisele E. Richardson

Gisele Elise Richardson, 102, of Silvis passed away on September 27, 2026, at StoryPoint.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday October 5, 2026, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities, Moline. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, where Gisele was the oldest member or QC Paws.

Gisele was born on March 1, 1924, in Paris, France the daughter of Leon and Marguerite (Bignet) Maulny. Gisele arrived in the United States of America on July 4, 1946. She married Robert G. Leaf in May of 1946. Gisele later married Lloyd Richardson in 1975. He preceded her in death in February of 2008. She had been employed in the printing department at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 1985.

Gisele loved traveling and had visited 47 of the 48 lower states in her RV with Lloyd. She was a member of “Happy Hookers” sewing group and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She could often be found reading and watching classics on Masterpiece Theatre and TCM. She was also known for her love of collecting goats and supplying her family and friends with homemade slippers.

She is survived by her son, Bob (Linda) Leaf and granddaughter, Anika (Greg) Martin and their children, Dylan Sitko and Aria Martin. Her daughter, Jacqueline Merringer (deceased) and grandchildren, Joshua (Shannon) Mrvos and their daughter, Paige, Allie (John) Monahan and their children Emily and Jack, Megan Merringer and her son, Arturo; stepchildren, Sandy (Curt) Haney and their children, Angela, Leah, Ben, Joel, Shari (Steve) Tallberg and their children, Luke, Dylan, Elizabeth, Ray (deceased) Priscilla Richardson and their children, Margaret, Anne, Tom, Dan (Jane) Richardson and their children, Spencer and Todd, John (Kim) Richardson and their children, Emily, Ann, Kate; and 17 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd, daughter, Jackie, and stepson, Ray.

The family would like to express their gratitude to StoryPoint Senior Facility Silvis and Compassus Hospice Care for the wonderful, loving and supportive care given to Gisele these last few months.
