Glenda R. Johnson

Glenda Rae Johnson, 83, of Moline, passed away Monday April 10, 2023, at her home.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline.   A celebration gathering will follow the services. Memorials may be made to SMILE #UWokeUp which supports traumatic brain injury survivors (smileuwokeup.org).

Glenda was born on January 19, 1940, in Ava, Missouri, the daughter of Joe and Helen (Hampton) Turner. She married Roger Johnson on April 15, 1996. Glenda’s dynamic personality and bright spirit were matched by her impeccable style. She loved large gatherings of family and friends and she was always known as the life of the party. She also enjoyed quiet, meandering drives in the country, exploring small towns with white picket fences. We will miss our princess.

Survivors include her husband, Roger; children, Doug (Laura) Wells, Wendy (Scott) Wood, Shelly (Mike Ernster) Cain, Kristine Johnson, Kurt (Melissa) Johnson, Matt (Julia O’Donnell) Johnson, Debbie (Josh) Jackson, Patty Johnson; grandchildren, Samantha (Jonathon), Carly (Kurt), Molly, Allie (Steven), Branson (Brandi), Tanner (Bailee), Georgia, Graham, Nora, Duncan, Malcolm; great grandchildren, Drew, Molly, Brailey, Bella, Kinleigh, Jolene, Luke, Lylah; and brother, Neil (Kay) Turner.

She was preceded in death by a son, Erik Johnson; parents; brothers, Wayne Turner and Rupert Turner.
