Glenn G. Hand

Glenn Gale Hand, 93 of East Moline passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 at his home.

Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded and private family services will be held at a later date with inurnment at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline.

Glenn was born on May 18, 1933 in Sheffield, Illinois the son of Bert Louis and Bernice Laird Hand. He married Doris M. Newman on June 6, 1954 in Buda, Illinois.

Glenn was a United States Marine Corps Veteran having served from 1951-1954. He was employed as an electrician with Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric retiring on May 1st, 1998. Glenn had a passion for woodworking and even made the cremation urn for him and his wife.

Survivors include his wife of 72 years and his children and their spouses; Jill Hand (Kevin Koespel) and Jeffrey (Martha) Hand; 8 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Terrance Hand and a brother, Willis.
