Guadalupe Saenz Correa, age 78, of Colona, died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at her daughter, Guadalupe's home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Green Rock Free Will Baptist Church, 918-2nd Street, Colona. Visitation is from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Esterdahl Mortuary& Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Guadalupe was born on March 15, 1934 in Campbellton, TX, the daughter of Aniceto and Manuela Colunga Saenz.
Guadalupe retired from the Rock Island Arsenal as a custodian in the NCO Club and the food service department in building 350. She loved the Cubs and Chuck Norris. Guadalupe also enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She especially loved raising her children.
