Harriet Rasmussen, 92, of Orion, IL, and Phoenix, AZ, died Monday, October 31, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Harriet was born on February 9, 1924, in Rock Island, IL, the daughter of Paul O. and Marie Fry Lange. She married Samuel H. Rasmussen on April 3, 1953, in Rock Island, IL, and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1984. She worked as an inventory control supervisor for the US Armament Command completing 30 years of civilian service on March 3, 1984.
Harriet especially loved her family and friends and enjoyed showing her hospitality.
Survivors include her children, Carol Fenton and Kenneth Rasmussen; grandchildren, Kristy and William, all of Phoenix, AZ; many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Albert.
