Harry W. Bond, 90 of East Moline, IL, died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services. Inurnment will be at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Harry was born on July 4, 1925, in Moline, IL, the son of William H. and Pearl Simpson Bond. He was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked as an inspector for IH International Farmall. For 50 years, Harry was an active Boy Scout leader.
Survivors include his nieces, Sandra (Ray) Ainslie, Le Claire, IA, and Tami Gotheridge, East Moline, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bernice.
