Harry Gene Schroeder, 71, of Moline, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City, IA.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at the Houston National Cemetery.
Harry was born on August 10, 1943, in Dallas, TX, the son of Milton and Alma Dora Bolten Schroeder. He married Anna M. Hickman on October 5, 1984, in Houston, TX. He worked as a truck driver for Neuman Farms.
Harry was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Navy. He was the former secretary of the Coal Valley Masonic Lodge 547 and a member of the Eureka Lodge 69. On February 24, 2007, he received his Master Mason.
Harry loved gardening and woodworking.
