Helen Margaret Hellgren, age 98, of Moline, died Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church, Moline.
Helen was born May 16, 1914 in Moline, the daughter of John Einer and Elsa Swedberg Johnson. She married Yngve A. "Bing" Hellgren on February 22, 1943 in Canton, MO. He preceded her in death on October 8, 1977.
Helen was employed as a telephone operator at First Midwest Bank. She was a lifelong member of First Covenant Church in Moline. Helen was an avid gardener, and loved to play the piano. She enjoyed visiting the residents at Oak Glen Home. Helen was a devoted daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Irene Keltner and Joyce Johnson; and brothers, Robert, Eugene and Kenneth.
