Helen K. Peterson, 102, of Moline, IL, died peacefully Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Heartland Health Care, Moline, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Helen was born on December 30, 1910, in Joliet, IL, the daughter of Herman and Margaret (Follen) Lange. Her parents moved to Angela, Montana, and farmed. She attended school there in Angela and Miles City and worked for the Bell Telephone Co. for many years. Helen later came to Moline, IL, and worked for the SS Kresage Co. as cashier and bookkeeper for several years, later retiring. She married Denzil "Pete" Peterson in 1952, in Moline. He preceded her in death on July 2, 2008. Helen was a homemaker and did volunteer work over the years. She was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
