Helen M. Reis, 99, passed away quietly on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012, at South Park Presbyterian Church, 1501 30th Street, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Private inurnment will be accorded at a later date at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Seton Catholic School or to South Park Presbyterian Church.
Helen was born July 26, 1913, in Williamsburg, VA, to Eugene and Della (Clark) Hampton. She worked as a secretary for the WPA, Macomb Steel Products and South Park Church. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal on January 15, 1981, after 19 years of service. Helen married Robert F. Reis on November 23, 1939, in Burlington, IA. The love of her life predeceased her on the same day and month of her passing, December 18, 1997. Helen was devoted to her husband, daughter, grandchild, great grandchildren, and South Park Church.
