Hilde C. Layton, 92, of Rock Island, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Per Hilde’s wishes, there will be no services. Inurnment will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery.
Hilde was born on March 14, 1929, in Heidelberg, Germany, the daughter of Albert and Lotterausch Ruby. She married John H. Layton on March 6, 1958, in Kaiserlautern, Germany. He preceeded her in death in 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
