Ina F. Ackeberg

Ina F. Ackeberg, 96, of Bettendorf, passed away on March 1, 2026, at her home.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Ina was born on January 23, 1930, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the daughter of Herman and Ida (Lankamp) Flim. She married Harry Ackeberg on May 21, 1960, in Hollywood, California. He preceded her in death on December 1, 2020. Ina received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and was employed at the former Lutheran Hospital in Moline as an ICU Nurse. She was a talented gardener and volunteered through the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener program. She was also very crafty and enjoyed quilting, candle making and sewing. She served as the organist for many years at First United Presbyterian Church in Moline. Above all, Ina cherished her family and loved being with them.

Survivors include her children, Julie (Jim) Quandt of Roseville, MN and John (Misti) Ackeberg of Bettendorf, IA; grandchildren, John Quandt and Sydney (Anthony) Ohlendorf; great grandchildren, James, Elanor, and Sarah Ohlendorf; and her sisters, Florence Felber and Harriett Fisher.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
