Iola Jane Bloome, 89, of Moline, IL, died Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Union Congregational Church, 1811 53rd Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, August 6, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will follow at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Union Congregational Church.
Jane was born on September 22, 1922 in Atkinson, IL, the daughter of Perry and Ella (Whitted) Butzer. She married Charles R. Bloome on August 3, 1943 in Loredo, TX. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2012. Jane attended the former Illinois Teacher's College and taught in a one room schoolhouse in the Annawan/Mineral area for a year. She was a member of Union Congregational Church and its A-dettes group. Jane served on the Moline School District PTA. She loved to cook and was best known for the cookies she made for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Harry, Delbert, Fred, Perry; sister, Helen.
