Irene V. Dellitt, 93, of Rock Island, IL, died Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at The Fort Armstrong Nursing Center, Rock Island, IL.
Per her wishes there will be no services and cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the Milan American Legion or to the Milan No Kill Shelter. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Irene was born on May 23, 1920, in Iowa City, IA, the daughter of Ira L. and Bertha Mae (Pencil) Albright. She married Vern Proffitt. She later married Leonard L. Dellitt and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Irene worked as a salesperson for Sears. She was a member of Elim Covanant Church, Milan American Legion, Davenport Eagle's Club, and the Elk's Club.
