November 30, 1929 — October 13, 2014

Jacqueline L. Kizer, 84, of Moline, IL, died Monday, October 13, 2014, at home after a long battle with cancer.

An Order of the Eastern Star Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Society in Jacqueline's memory.

Jacqueline was born on November 30, 1929, in Port Byron, IL, the daughter of Willis and Jennie Craig Kerr. She graduated from Port Byron High School and then from Moline Public Nursing School. Jacqueline married Dale Kizer on February 23, 1952, in Port Byron, and together they had 6 children. He preceded her in death in January of 2005. She worked for Moline Public Hospital until she retired in 1989.

Jacqueline was a member of O.E.S. Valley # 274 since June of 1979 and the Daughters of the Nile. She was also very involved with Rainbow for Girls Mothers Club, Order of DeMolay Mothers Club, and the Rainbow Girls Advisory Board. Jacqueline received the Grand Cross of Color from International Order of Rainbow for Girls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and infant daughter.
