James Jacob Matthew “JJ” Crouch, 5-month-old son of Jacob and Nadalee Crouch of Bettendorf, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday February 22, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday February 27, 2026, at Sacred City Church in Bettendorf, IA. Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. prior to the services. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Le Claire, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.

James was born at 27 weeks with a heart condition on September 3, 2025, in Iowa City. He was feisty and such a fighter and was told on many occasions what a miracle he truly was.

He is survived by his parents, Jacob & Nadalee; sister, Evelyn; paternal grandparents, Matthew Crouch, and Kenlyn & Mark Thoensen; maternal grandparents, James & Jennifer Dailing; paternal great grandparents, Ron & Linda Crouch, and Candyce Williams; maternal great grandparents, Carl & Donna Dailing, and Rosalie Davis; uncle, Rylee Crouch; aunts, Grayce Dailing, Ellie (Conner) Gass, and Chloe Dailing, as well as numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather, Kenneth Williams and maternal great grandfather, Errol Davis.
