James "Jim" Eldon Duncan, 90, of Moline, IL, died Monday, February 11, 2013, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2013, at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens where Military Honors will be performed by Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church.
Jim was born on November 13, 1922, in Colorado the son of John and Gladys Duncan. He married Ola Padget on September 21, 1944. Jim was employed as a brick layer and became an owner/operator with Duncan-Meinburg, he later became a mason with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers or BAC Local #6 of Rockford, Illinois. Jim was a Sergeant in the United States Army serving in WWII as a tank commander. He was a long time member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline where he was very involved. Jim enjoyed fishing, creating oil paintings, and golfing at Saukie with his church friend Dave.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gary Duncan; daughter in law, Yvonne; and siblings, Millie, Evelyn, and Ovid.
