James "Jim" C. Sundeen

James “Jim” C. Sundeen, 78, of Colona, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Cremation rites will take place after services.

Jim was born on February 28, 1948, in Davenport, IA, the son of Fredrick and Marian (Krakora) Sundeen. He married Nancy M. Elder in Moline on February 17, 1973. Jim worked as a letter carrier for the Moline Post Office for 39 years. He enjoyed visiting Vegas 3 times a year and gambling. Jim was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and Illinois basketball fan. He was a loving husband, father, and loved his dog Fluffy.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Sundeen; sons, Jimmy and Matt Sundeen; siblings, Mary Ann (John) Scott, Fred Sundeen, and Diane (John Murphy) Sundeen; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Evelyn Sundeen.
