James Arnold "Jim" Knaak

July 29, 1943 — July 4, 2014

James "Jim" A. Knaak, 70, of Hampton, IL, died on July 4, 2014 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal where military honors will be conducted by Moline American Legion Post 246. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a donation to be made to a charity of Jim's choice.

Jim was born on July 29, 1943, in Columbus, WI, the son of Floyd and Florence Powers Knaak. He married Jill Tuttle on August 21, 1965, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Rapids City, IL, and she preceded him in death on January 25, 2008. Jim proudly served in the United States Navy and later worked in sales for various food and chemical companies.

Jim was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He was a friend of Bill and had a willingness to go to any length.
